A fall mother-of-the-bride dress shortlist needs more than a seasonal color label. Compare what each purchase includes, what you want to wear over it, and what must happen before the outfit is ready. Sleeves and layers are personal and event-specific choices, not requirements attached to age.

Separate the dress price from the outfit price
For either option, write down the actual shoes, jewelry, underlayers and outer piece you would use. Mark each “owned and checked,” “borrowed and confirmed,” “quoted purchase,” or “unresolved.” Do not count every item pictured with a dress as part of its price.
Use the dress-and-jacket comparison if you plan two looks. Test the garment alone and then with the layer. A separate jacket could change the cost and the fit conversation; the lower dress price does not prove a lower completed-outfit total.
Put seller conditions beside the fitting questions
The checked return policy allows qualifying unworn, unwashed, undamaged items with tags within 30 days of delivery, with a $15 restocking and return-shipping deduction. Final-sale items and jewelry are excluded; original shipping is nonrefundable. Confirm the selected order’s eligibility rather than relying on a generic page label.
The shipping guidance gives processing and transit estimates, with destination-specific conditions. Obtain a plan for your address and date. Delivery and readiness after fitting are separate questions.
Use the current size chart for the selected Regular, Petite or Plus listing, with the maker’s measurement instructions. Ask about any measurements that cross sizes and any alteration you are relying on. Do not substitute the website’s general stretch wording for a fitting assessment.
